After becoming Maharaja of Pratibandapuram, he started his tigers' hunt. There were many tigers in the forest of Pratibandapuram. When Maharaja killed his first tiger, he became too excited and happy. He called all the state astrologers once again to his council. He informed them about his first tiger hunt. The chief astrologer warned Maharaja that he wouldn't have any danger from other tigers except the hundredth one. He would have to be much more careful about the hundredth's tiger. That particular tiger would be his actual cause of death. Maharaja asked the chief astrologer what would happen if we killed the hundredth tiger. The chief astrologer replied to him that his prophecy would not be wrong. If such a thing happened, he would tear and burn out all his books related to astrology. Maharaja became so fearful about losing his kingdom. That officer was quite powerful during that time. Maharaja would have to lose his kingdom if that officer attacked him. Very wisely, Maharaja called a jeweller and ordered him 50 different diamond rings worth three lakh. He sent all those diamond rings to the officer's good lady, the duraisani. He requested that she keep one or two rings and send the rest of the rings back to him, but the duraisani kept all those diamond rings. Maharaja bore a huge loss, but he was able to save his kingdom.
Maharaja kept on doing his business of hunting tigers. He killed almost seventy tigers in the forests of Pratibandapuram. Later on, he tried his best to find some more tigers to hunt, but he couldn't. So he called the dewan, his chief minister. He asked him to find a suitable princess for him to marry whose father would have more forests with tigers. Later on, after searching, the dewan became successful in finding a suitable princess for Maharaja. Maharaja married that princess. Maharaja became successful in hunting some more tigers in her in-law's kingdom. Whenever Maharaja went to his in-law's kingdom, he killed five or six tigers from there.
